THE CARIBBEAN EXPLORER II itinerary in the Northeastern Caribbean is a blend of Dutch, British, French and native cultures on scenic islands. Turquoise waters, diversity of marine life and an extensive range of sites offer divers an all-inclusive holiday. From offshore pinnacles, walls and sand gullies with vibrant reefs, to relics encrusted with corals, dives are sure to excite with sightings of frogfish, hawksbill turtles, seahorses, stingrays and nudibranchs. A dedicated live-aboard, this itinerary offers up to five dives daily, with the add-on of up to three optional land tours. This allows guests to choose their holiday focus and provides ample time to explore forts, rainforests and take in local Caribbean culture. The recently renovated Caribbean Explorer II has a spacious dive deck, accommodates 18 guests and up to seven crew. Onboard there are nine air-conditioned staterooms, all with private bathrooms and showers. On the upper deck there is a semi-enclosed dining salon, sun deck and wet bar. On the dive deck, there is a large camera table, on-deck bathroom, wet suit rinse bins and music while you suit up. The Saba and St. Kitts itinerary is the most popular with repeat guests.
The seven-night, eight-day package is $2,095 per person (double occupancy) and offers up to 27 dives during the week, including night dives. Departures from St. Maarten and St. Kitts occur on alternate Saturdays.
