THE MADANG RESORT AND KALIBOBO VILLAGE is set at the entrance of the Dallman Passage and Yamilon Lagoon on the north coast of Papua New Guinea. The resort offers 200 rooms ranging from standard, deluxe and self-contained one and two bed condominiums. Located in a 15-acre landscaped tropical garden, it features two lagoons, four swimming pools, two restaurants, a fitness center, tennis court, and a full-service dive center offering daily boat dive trips to nearby reefs and historic WWII shipwrecks. The resort offers free WiFi, 30-channel satellite television, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, a sailing catamaran, daily sightseeing tours and cruises. The Kalibobo Spirit, a 98-foot (30-m) live-aboard yacht, carries 12 divers and is available for scheduled cruises to the Sepik River – known as the “Amazon of the Pacific” – and many offshore islands. Niugini Dive Adventures, based at Madang Resort, offers seven-night/10-dive packages year-round for $1,742 USD, per person, based on double occupancy. In addition to professionally guided dives, the package also includes round-trip airport transfers, deluxe accommodation, all meals (excluding alcohol) and a half-day sightseeing tour.
