ATOMIC AQUATICS ATOMIC BC1 BUOYANCY COMPENSATOR
What is it?
The Atomic BC1 buoyancy compensator (BC) is made of exclusive engineering-grade plastics, polyurethane coated textiles and corrosion-resistant metals for durability. The exterior coating is thicker to prevent tearing, cutting or leaking and it sheds water making it virtually dry right after diving. The ratcheting band adjusts to accommodate a variety of tank sizes and the over-center buckle locks everything tightly in place. Its two zippered weight pouches hold up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) each of hard or soft weights in sizes small to large and 14 pounds (6.5 kg) each in x-large. The BC1 also has rear non-releasable weight pockets that can hold from 6 to 10 pounds (2.5 to 4.5 kg) depending on the BC size. The lift capacities depend on the BC size and range from 31pounds (14 kg) in the small to 48 pounds (22 kg) in the x-large. Fitting the BC is achieved with torso, sternum and waist adjustable straps and there is an adjustable cummerbund for added comfort and security.
