LONG BEACH, California (May 1, 2023) — The largest consumer scuba diving exposition in the country returns to the Long Beach Convention Center on June 3rd and 4th. Scuba Show 2023 will feature over 260 exhibitors — from dive gear companies to travel destinations from around the world — providing scuba enthusiasts with the latest in equipment, how to stay safe underwater and the inspiration to seek out their next dive adventure.
For the estimated 10,000 attendees, there’s plenty on offer. Throughout the weekend, attendees can expect product demonstrations, travel specials, over 70 seminars, activities for children, mermaids, and the chance to step inside a great white shark diving cage. Unique artwork will be on display, including DiscoShark of Coachella fame by artist Kevin McHugh and massive gallery prints by Jim Hellemn, creator of the 125-foot kelp forest glass wall at the Aquarium of the Pacific. And artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to assist in creating a giant seascape at the show. Scuba Show attendees will have the opportunity to take home a piece of over $45,000 in gifts and prizes. All show-goers are invited to attend the Saturday evening party that will feature live entertainment, food trucks, a cash bar, a fundraising raffle, and the presentation of the California Scuba Service Award.
For those unfamiliar with scuba, the show is the perfect place to begin. Attendees will have the opportunity to try their hand at diving in a 15,000-gallon heated pool on the exhibit hall floor, where first-timers can experience scuba under the supervision of experienced dive instructors.
“Southern California is a haven for diving. We relish the chance to engage directly with both the local and broader diving community to present them with opportunities to learn more about the industry and sport we are all so passionate about,” said Mark Young, Scuba Show Producer. “The show serves as a representation of how passionate and welcoming our community is. Whether you are an experienced diver or are interested in the sport, the Scuba Show welcomes you to experience the magic of scuba diving.”
