SeaLife Super Macro Lens

SeaLife Super Macro Lens

What is it?

SeaLife has a new Super Macro lens that allows you to get as close as 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) from your subject with the SeaLife DC2000 camera. Without the macro lens, the DC2000’s auto-focus lens can shoot as close as 4 inches (10.15 cm). The Super Macro lens is constructed of optical grade glass with broadband AR coating on the inner surfaces to maximize light transmission and prevent flaring. The two-element/two-group optics features a +10-diopter lens that shortens the camera’s minimum shooting distance by more than 50 percent. The optics are housed in a corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum frame that is depth rated to 330 feet (100 m).

The lens has a 52-mm thread mount for attaching to any underwater housing with 52-mm mounting threads. Included with the lens is a 52-mm thread mount adapter that fits on to any SeaLife DC-series housing. Once the thread adapter is attached, the 52-mm Super Macro Lens threads on.

Benefits to your diving:

You can get close to the tiniest creatures with this lens. The 52-mm thread adapter allows any other third party 52-mm lens or filter to be used with your SeaLife camera.
