This year the Mini Lobster Season is July 24-25, 2019 (last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of July each year).

The daily bag limit is six per person for Monroe County and Biscayne National Park and twelve per person for rest of Florida and those possession limits are enforced on and off the water. The minimum size limit for the spiny lobster is determined by measuring the carapace, which must be larger than three inches and must be measured in the water. You need to own and use a measuring device at all times.

The harvest of lobster is prohibited in John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park during the sport season and in Everglades National Park, Dry Tortugas National Park, no-take areas in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and in the Biscayne Bay/Card Sound Lobster Sanctuary during both the 2-day sport season and regular season.
