What is it?
This Ikelite housing is full featured and durable waterproof housing for Sony Alpha A7 III, A7R III, and A9 Mirrorless cameras. The new Dry Lock (DL) port systems are light, adaptable and easily accommodate popular large diameter, full-frame lenses. The shutter and AF-ON controls have ergonomic and sensitive curved lever actuators. All knob controls feature a soft-touch design, which gives extra grip and the push buttons have been designed to reduce weight and salt build-up. The back of the housing features laser engraved control symbols that will never fade or fall off. Control placement mimics the way you use the camera on the surface.
This housing supports your choice of shooting with manual strobe exposure or adding a TTL converter depending on your application. The additional custom optical-grade acrylic domes provide the color, clarity and durability of glass and the included vacuum valve allows you to vacuum test the housing to check for leaks prior to putting your expensive equipment in the water. Use of the vacuum valve requires a compatible Vacuum Pump with Gauge #47011, sold separately. The white ABS-PC blend front is stronger than its clear counterpart, provides improved contrast and visibility and keeps the camera running cooler in the sun. This material is one-third of the specific gravity of aluminum, making the housing much lighter and fundamentally corrosion free and has a 200-foot (60m) depth rating.

The soft-touch knobs are easy to grip with or without gloves on and provide quick access to important controls including front and rear dials and the mode control. Also the hard-anodized aluminum push buttons are extremely lightweight and resistant to salt build-up and corrosion. The light color provides superior contrast for enhanced view of the camera, LCD screen and O-ring seal.
